Work in Progress DrawingForce Pirate - week 2

As mentioned in my last journal post, Mike Mattesi is doing a four-week project covering a single character design.  In this case, an old, creaky pirate captain character that is blended with a dangerous species of sea-life.  Kind of like the Pirates of the Carribean movies.  This week, we covered getting out several concepts so we can pick the best one or two to move forward with.  One of the options that was intentionally left open was the time period, so it doesn't have to necessarily be designed with the stereotypical one associated with pirates.  So eventually I'm thinking something victorian/steampunk or sci-fi futuristic.  Already have references downloaded for costuming those when the time comes, but for now, it's more or less just these three head designs.

Any thoughts or comments that anyone thinks would be helpful, would be appreciated and taken into consideration.

Again, these are just initial sketches.

Edit: For the record, the three sea creatures chosen for blending were, from left to right, an Angelfish, Barricuda, and Saltwater Croc.
